I felt really inspired listening to this podcast especially the interview with Tu Pham. Even though I am not a business person, I felt really uplifted by this speaker’s personal story and the life lessons and little pieces of wisdom he imparts throughout the interview. He talks about taking risks, taking actions, and actually putting in the work into changing oneself in order to “upgrade” your life and manifest your life goals. He breaks down his goals and how he was able to achieve those goals in a very step by step process. He makes it sound so doable, and makes me realize that achieving my personal life dreams really does just start with myself ... envisioning and just taking those first few steps even if it is scary. It really is just about taking risks and changing your life for the better... I also found it interesting how the stories about his career in real estate investment and professional sports gambling is living proof of how he really did take risks.. not just calculated risks but really leap of faith risks ... to essentially move the needle forward in his life as a whole. I think one of the most powerful lessons from this interview was that in the power of risk is not being defeated by failure.. and also not being really being defined or restricted by the volatile nature of failure OR success in life.. He talks about an example of losing a large sum of money of several thousands $$$$$ in a gambling situation, and being able to keep calm and leveled and mentally-focused to move forward and rise above the situation, rather than being controlled by and being at the mercy of the situation’s outcomes. I thought this was such a powerful example and a powerful thought. It was really grounding to me to hear it. It goes to show that having an inner mental strength and fortitude and investing in the journey of growth is more important than any actual outcome or end product. Whether you win or lose money or rewards should not necessarily be the goal in life, because if you’re constantly dictated only by the outcomes of what you can not really control, you can never quite move forward or find real strength in oneself. I found this lesson really game-changing because it helps me to reflect on my own past losses, failures, and mistakes and letting those go... de-investing in those memories, and investing more in myself and my future and the possibilities of the future which can only be possible if I just focus on myself and focus on the journey, rather than success or failure. This made me realize that that is the only way to truly “win” in the game of life and move forward ... with true humility.. inner strength.. confidence.. and happiness. Inspiring podcast!!
